WORLD BANK I BUILDING

This project won an invited competition to reconfigure the public spaces in the EYE building in Washington. Housing the Latin American divisions of the Bank, it brings a fresh look to its 1970s vintage building envelope. The once dark, northfacing space was brightened through wide use of low voltage lighting and sandblasted glass panels inspired by the work of the Guatemalan artist Carlos Merida.

The entrance canopy recalls that of the main complex one block away.
