39 STANHOPE STREET

This 26 story, 270 room hotel was designed at Stantec for a Manhattan developer on a site in Boston's Back Bay. Glass walls with a delicate tracery of mullions provide all the guest rooms with floor to ceiling windows at the east and west elevations.

A concrete frame runs up the north and south walls and is open to the sky above the rooftop bar. Glass walled public spaces are visible at the roof and the building's second level above grade. The building's formal language is that of local modernist works of architecture by Alvar Aalto, Jose Luis Sert, and Eero Saarinen.
