METROBANK HEADQUARTERS

This project won an international competition for a new headquarters project to be built on reclaimed land as part of a mixed-use project. The architecture of the building is inspired by the continuous information stream that dominates world commerce today.

The structure is efficient and low cost to build. Conventionally poured concrete slabs rise 17 stories in identical 20,000 gsf floor plates with a constant ore to outside wall distance of 40 feet. One elevator bank serves the building. There are no interior columns. The skin is one module of insulated glazing unit in two colors repeated throughout. The modulation of the skin comes from one standard module of brake formed and painted aluminum.

The building sits on a double height concrete podium containing the public areas and parking.
